Richard Wood, Managing Director,
Harland Resources will be giving a presentation on Treatment of Shallow Coal Seams on Development Sites by Prior Extraction at the conference.
We're speaking at
Harland Resources Ltd has completed 40 opencast coal sites, since its inception in 1983 and over the last 5 years, has specialised in the Prior Extraction of Coal before Development as an economical and more certain treatment, for stabilising, ground with shallow coal present, than grouting. We have many case studies, for reference.
Our Business Model is to be involved with the Client, from Site investigation Stage and to carry out a no cost review, to determine the suitability of the site, for Prior Extraction and if positive, make an agreement with the client and apply for any approvals from the Local Authority and an Extraction Licence from the Coal Authority. No EIA is required.
During the Prior Extraction of the coal and as part of the reinstatement and compaction to NHBC specification, we can restore the site, to the Development Platform Level, as required and the Client can be assured of the site condition, as all voids have been removed.
Harland Resources Ltd has the ability and experience. to carry out the full excavation of the site, the removal of the coal and restoration or just the the removal of the coal, with others carrying out the earth excavations. During the excavation, if contaminated material is found, this can be removed, stockpiled and dealt with by others.
Our range of sites, carried out to date, varies from hundreds of tonnes to many thousand of tonnes, on Industrial and Housing sites.
